If there was one common dream among IC patients, it’s working with a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor who could treat all of their pelvic ills: the bladder, the pelvic floor, the bowel and, of course, the reproductive tract. Thankfully, a small but growing number of urologists and urogynecologists are now specializing in pelvic pain and have added physical therapists, psychologists and other specialists into their clinical practice. Odds are, though, you’ll still be working with a couple of different specialists to help you find relief.

- Alliance For Chronic Pelvic Pain – A group of like minded physicians, physical therapists, counselors and professionals dedicated to the treatment of pelvic pain. They offer yearly patient retreats.
- Herman Wallace is the leading training organization for physical therapists who treat pelvic floor disorders. They maintain a list of physical therapists who have taken their courses!
